GCSE Mathematics Vector Questions – Answers

December 2, 2015 by Simon 1 Comment

Enlargement by a negative scale factor (1)GCSE mathematics vector questions appear on many exam papers and you can download the questions here. They can be a little challenging and please do practice all of the problems.

The main things to remember when working with GCSE mathematics vector questions are:

  • Make sure you read the question thoroughly – there’s usually lots of A, B and C’s to show angles or straight lines. If you’re a little confused, it can be useful to redraw the problem to help focus on the question that is being asked
  • Remember that parallel vectors are the same or a multiple
  • Be very clear in your working, marks will be awarded if your explanation is easy to follow

If you’d like to ask for any more detail, or you’re not sure about anything, please do ask a question in the comments section. I’ll let you know as soon as I’ve posted an answer.

The answer videos are given below. To try to shorten the video length (!), I’ve only answered questions 1, 3 and 6, although here’s the complete worked answers.

All very best with your studies.
