Algebraic fractions

In the videos I’ve worked through some example questions, although you can download the rest of the worksheet & answers:

Download a copy of the question here:  QT Algebraic Fractions 1

Here’s a copy of the written answers: QT Algebraic Fractions 1 ANSWERS

Here’s the question for this video:
Simplify fully x^2 – 16 / x^2 – 9x + 20

Here’s the question for this video:
Simplify fully (2x – 12 / x – 4) / (2x^2 – 6x – 36 / x^2 – 9x + 20)

These videos are a quick reminder of algebraic fractions for GCSE maths, and are aimed at around grade 7. Questions on quadratics appear frequently on GCSE papers, mainly towards Q20 onwards, and are usually calculator.

Algebraic fractions can be fairly challenging, although once you have practiced, should be straightforward.
