Here’s the question for this video:
1. A rectangle has a length of 14cm, correct to the nearest cm, and a width of 4.3cm, correct to the nearest mm.
a) Calculate the upper bound for the perimeter of the rectangle.
(2 marks)
b) Calculate the lower bound for the area of the rectangle.
(2 marks)

d = 6.73 correct to 2 decimal places
t = 3.456 correct to 3 decimal places
Calculate the upper bound for s. Give your answer to 3 decimal places.

In the formula v^2= u^2 + 2as
v = 48.35 correct to 2 decimal places
a = 9.81 correct to 2 decimal places
s = 45.2 correct to 1 decimal place

These videos are a quick reminder of bounds for GCSE maths, and are aimed at around grade 7. Questions on bounds appear infrequently on GCSE papers, mainly towards Q20 onwards, and are usually calculator.
Bounds questions can be fairly challenging, although once you have practiced, should be straightforward.
